On 1982 Litfiba released the self-produced EP Guerra and won the Festival Rock Italiano in Bologna.Īfter several EPs in 1985 Litfiba released their debut album Desaparesido, which is part of their Trilogia del Potere with the following albums 17 Re and Litfiba 3 and became one of the most important albums of the new Italian rock. The band performed for the first time in December 1980 at the Rokkoteca Brighton of Settignano (Florence) and then all over Italy to create an audience.
The name Litfiba comes from the telex address of their rehearsal room. The band currently consists of the singer Piero Pelù, Federico Ghigo Renzulli (guitar), Dado Neri (bass), Fabrizio Simoncioni (keyboards) e Luca Martelli (drums). Litfiba, one of the most important Italian rock bands, will be back in 2022 with their farewell tour L’Ultimo Girone:
